Les Mitzvah!

We were very blessed last weekend to cover Melissa's bat mitzvah. We have literally watched her grow up and have photographed her over the years at her brother's and cousins' bar and bat mitzvah's. Hard to believe so much time has passed, but we truly have enjoyed all the milestones that the family has shared with us.

Melissa had a Broadway themed event complete with red carpet interviews and her own Broadway playbills. The dance floor was packed all night with friends and family for a wonderfully fun and memerable evening. Mazal Tov!

Country Chic with Julie & Adam!

We've had a few weddings over the winter, but Julie and Adam's wedding mark the official start of our busy wedding season. We couldn't have picked a better wedding to start the year.

Truly a first for us, we spent the day on Julie's parent's huge farm...and I mean huge! Julie wanted photos done around the grounds and that even meant with the cows. She wore boots under her dress and didn't even flinch at the dust and dirt...my kinda girl!

Another first for us was the bridal 'horse trailer' which took the place of a limo (you'll notice the 'chinese fire drill in the slide show...another wedding first). We even went with the wedding party to one of their favorite local hangouts, "The Country Club Bar," before the reception.

We had a great time with family and friends and the day just flew by. Congrats to such a sweet couple! Enjoy the honeymoon...we'll have your slide show posted soon!

Green with Envy!

'Tis the season for wedding invitations to be designed and delivered. Erin and Brad are at one of our favorite venues, Country Club of the North, and they have designed their wedding colors to fit in with the surroundings perfectly.

The green, chocolate and ivory will be beautiful at CCN and they certainly look beautiful on their 5x5 trifold cards printed on pearl paper. We can't wait to see more of their details at the wedding!

Pretty In Pink!

Tiffany & Jason are having a lovely outdoor wedding this June and incorporated black, fuchsia and white for their wedding colors. I can't wait to see all the colors come together, but here is a sneak peak of their wedding invitations.

We designed the cards as vertical 5x7 folding cards so when you open the card it is a beautiful 14 inch spread. We printed them on pearl paper for some added glam, and the 4x5 rsvp card matches perfectly. Can't wait for the wedding!

10,000 Pennies

Somewhat of a milestone...we just hit over 10,000 hits on our blog! Kinda cool in just under one year. Here's what those hits would look like in pennies :)

*Must be nice to have this kind of time to kill

Best of The Knot 2009!

Yippee! We just got the word that we were voted best of The Knot for 2009! Might sound silly, but that was the one accolade that we had been missing from our resume. It is the award that truly means the most to us since it was awarded by our clients!

A special thank you to all those out there that voted for us! We love what we do and it's always great to be recognized for what you love doing! Not many people get to do such a fun job...we get to be at a party every Saturday, what could be better?

The Best of The Knot Magazine fits shelves this month, which covers Chicago to Nashville. Be sure to pick one up. I feel like Sally Fields when she won her first Oscar, "They like me, they really really like me." Thanks again!
