Kim and Brian and Dayton Art Institute

Last weekend we had the honor of photographing Kim and Brian's elegant wedding at the Dayton Art Institute. Mother Nature decided to have the biggest heatwave of the year with temperatures in the triple digits. However, we worked with frequent air conditioning breaks and didn't let the heat get us down.

Brian works in the for Getty Images in Chicago so the pressure was on for us to get take great images :) The museum is the perfect venue this time of year because it has many beautiful places to photograph without having to go outside. Kim and Brian also had decorated with a classic black and white color palette making the museum look gorgeous.

Kim and Brian had many thoughtful touches throughout the wedding from all their nieces and nephews participating in the wedding (I love the shots of them walking down the isle) to Brian's Dads band performing during the reception. Friends and family traveled from far and wide to celebrate with Kim and Brian making for a very memorable evening.

The newlyweds are currently honeymooning in Hawaii, but feel free to leave well wishes in the Comments section below. You can also visit the studio's Facebook page to see more images. Enjoy!

Brittany & Jeff's Fort Piqua Wedding

We first met Brittany and Jeff at her brother's wedding last December. They weren't officially engaged at the time, yet everyone seemed to know it was only a matter of time :)

Brittany and Jeff's family are all closely tied to the farming industry and they had some fun and creative ways to tie in their heritage. During the ceremony they did a 'soil ceremony' instead of a 'sand ceremony' linking their two family farms together. Jeff also opted for cowboy boots instead of the standard glossy tux shoes.

Not letting the heat slow them down any, all of Brittany and Jeff's family had a wonderful time. The dance floor at the reception was packed all night. Guests especially enjoyed Brittany and Jeff's grand entrance into the reception, which was on a John Deere tractor with the song, 'You make my tractor sexy,' playing in the background.

Brittany and Jeff's country chic wedding, now has them out of the country enjoying Barcelona and a Mediterranean cruise...so jealous ;) Feel free to leave well wishes for the couple below and be sure to visit the studio's Facebook page to tag yourself in more images.

A special Thank You to Brittany and Jeff's great vendors:

Chelsea and Joe's Engagement Session in Cleveland

Chelsea is Mark's niece and has been photographing her since she was a baby. Since she and Joe just moved to the Cleveland area, we were happy to do their engagement session in their new hometown. We had a great time photographing downtown and along the waterfront.

Chelsea also did a great job of tying in their outfits with their wedding colors (green, blue and yellow) so that we can design save-the-date cards and their guestbook to match the wedding decor. Chelsea and her mom also came up with a really fun and unique save-the-date card idea that we will share with you shortly so be sure to check back.

Christin & Justin's Engagement at The Greene

Christin and Justin are both involved with competitive cheer and dance so they bring a lot of energy with them wherever they go. We had a great time photographing their engagement session and are definitely looking forward to the wedding this fall. Congrats!

Tori and Andrij at Ault Park

Tori and Andrij are such a cute couple! Even though is was super hot and humid the night of their session, we still had a great time. Tori tied in their outfit colors with the wedding colors (right down to the doggie's bandana) so that when we design their guestbook, it will look great with all the wedding day decor. Good job!

Brittany and Jonathan's E-Session!

Brittany and Jonathan's wedding is just s few weeks away, but we still wanted to share a few of their engagement photos. Be sure to check back within the next three weeks for the wedding previews. Congrats!

Melissa and Devon's Dayton Engagement Session

Melissa and Devon's wedding is quickly approaching, but we still wanted to get some images on the blog from their engagement session at the Patterson Homestead and surrounding areas. Just couldn't resist posting the reflection shot (since you know we like those) as well as the jump. Nice air Melissa...you might have a new career as a cheerleader :)

Grace and Nick's Dayton Engagement Session

We first met Grace when she was a maid of honor (or babe of honor...as we call them) at a wedding two years ago. Grace and Nick are such a sweet couple and we are honored that we get to photograph her and Nick's wedding this December! Congrats!
