Jennifer & Rogelio!

Call it kismet that we booked Jennifer & Rogelio's wedding. We happened to have a last minute cancellation for their wedding date so we were able to photograph their wedding, and if that wasn't enough Jennifer's last name is Garber...no relation. Wait there's more! Rogelio is from Costa Rica, which is where I did a summer abroad in college. Small world for sure!

We had another lovely weather day Saturday, which was perfect for the outdoor ceremony at Cox Arboretum. Jennifer was a classic beauty in her gown and cathedral veil. The rich autumn colors photographed beautifully with the natural surroundings. Many guests traveled from afar for the wedding, and it couldn't have been more touching with Jennifer's dad officiating. They are blessed to have a truly wonderful group of friends and family in their lives.

I must also commend Jennifer and Rogelio for their grace under pressure. There was a glitch (to say the least) with one of their vendors, and they handled it better than anyone else in their shoes would have. We really admired their patience, compassion and reserve, which I'm sure is only a glimpse into why they are such wonderful people.

Enjoy Cabo! Feel free to leave messages below!

Katie & Scott!

We had a wonderful day Saturday with Katie & Scott at the Dayton Art Institute. Katie and Scott had happened to pick the same wedding date as her sister Megan, whom we photographed last summer...to Scott...a different one ;) So it was fun working with everyone again!

Katie and Scott had told us their color scheme of brown and cobalt blue, which caught me a little off guard. I had never seen that color combination before, and I have to admit it looked amazing. It was the perfect palette for the museum's natural tones. Everything blended, and yet stood out at the same time. Great idea! They also had many personal touches around to help make the day unique. All the programs, placecards, menus and table cards were handmade with an amazing amount of detail.

It was a lovely day with wonderful friends and family. We wish them all the best and hope they have a great time in Chicago! Feel free to leave messages for the newlyweds below. Congrats!

Kristen & Doug!

We are longtime supporters of our military and rescue workers, and are thrilled to be photographing Kristen and Doug's wedding. Doug is a fireman that works out of Mason and Kristen is an EMT in Clearcreek so for their engagement session we decided to meet at the fire station.

We had lots of fun and even got their dog, Cody, in a few shots...I like the one of him sneaking Doug a kiss. It was fun to work at the firehouse and the other guys working that night were good sports about it too. I think the one of them pointing the fire hose at them says it all...they probably haven't seen that much PDA at the firehouse before!

Thanks guys for being so much fun and we certainly can't wait for the wedding!

Invitations, Stationary & More!

Laura and Brian's invitations and RSVP cards arrived last week, and we just loved them. Incorporating Laura's colors of rich warm jewel tones with an emphasis on red, we designed these in house for them. Printed on pearlized cardstock, the colors and images just jump off the paper. Certainly eye catching for beautiful fall wedding.

Many of our couples order save-the-dates, invitations, thank you cards and holiday cards through us. However, don't forget that we can design and print just about anything from business cards to banners. We're happy to help!

Stacey & Chad!

So the hot weather finally caught up with us in Saturday, but no one let it slow them down. We had a great time with Stacey and Chad and felt like we were part of the family. Such a wonderful group of family and friends!

Stacey incorporated many of my favorite wedding concepts and vendors. She had a gorgeous dress, awesome shoes and amazing handmade accessories, including the blusher veil....a true fav here! It's kinda funny that we like the two extremes with veils...either the cathedral (floor length) or the blusher. Both are very fun to play with! The shoe shot is for Stacey, who fell in love with the Benjamin Adams shoes with Swarovski crystals. A shoe that devine should be on a pedestal...its a girl thing for sure!
Not only were we at CCN...the best country club in Dayton, but also at some urban areas and Chad's fire station. Talk about lots of cool backdrops to play with! We had such a great day that the eleven hours we were with them just flew by...which says a lot, especially with the extreme heat and humidity. By the way, sweetest father-daughter dance ever! We have a soft spot for daddies and their girls.
Enjoy Jamaica...and the rum punch! Feel free to leave messages for the newlyweds below! Congrats!
A Special Thank You to Stacey and Chad's great wedding team!
Pam at Country Club of the North...you rock as always!

Bridal Show Season is Here!

Between Dayton and Cincinnati, August and September offer many bridal shows to chose from. Most brides only go to one or two so here's my two cents on which ones we think are better...(based upon being easy to get to, easy parking, nice venues, quality vendors). For Dayton, the show held at the Dayton Marriott, and in Cincinnati, the show held at the Manor House.

Mark and Jennifer will be at the Manor House show on Sunday, August 30th from 11am to 4pm. We have free tickets available at the studio, which also include $2 off for everyone in your entourage. Let us know if you need a ticket...you can pick one up or we can drop it in the mail!

Terrell & Tricia

What an absolutely sweet couple...and I'm not just saying that becuase they brought me a dozen cookies :) The hot weather has finally caught up with us this week, but we still managed to have fun! It is amazing to see such vibrant greens in the foliage this time of year. It looks as if we photographed these in the Spring and not August!

We're photographing their wedding next year at the Dayton Jewish Center and are looking forward to it! Congrats to such a wonderful couple!
PS. Thanks for the treat! That was way too sweet of you...and yummy!

Carnies never looked so Cute!

Leah and Anthony indulged me in going to the Green County Fair last night. Normally Mark and I shoot together, but he was in Atlanta last week on business so I went solo. We had lots of fun even when all the kids would 'gross out' whenever they kissed. Not many men could pull off a baby blue cotton candy mustache either, but Anthony worked it. We did turn a few heads, but that's okay because it was sooo worth it. Enjoy!
