Melissa and Ed!

Melissa and Ed had an interesting twist of fate, which ultimately brought them together. Melissa, a police officer, and Ed, a fireman, met on a call. We love to hear stories about how our couples meet and theirs is certainly in the top ten best for sure!

Thanks for the great time at Cox Arboretum. Can't wait for the wedding!

Molly & Andrew at Dayton Country Club

You'll have to ask Molly what the girls were laughing at ;)

Molly and Andrew lucked out last Saturday by missing most of the heavy rain. Molly and Andrew still got sprinkled on a little during some of the photos, but they didn't let it dampen their spirits any!

Molly had a beautiful Vera Wang gown that was accented with wonderfully fragrant spring blooms in her bouquet. The pink peonies (Jennifer's favorite) filled the room with their delicate sweet fragrance. Jeff Martin Florist did a great job using spring's best flowers. The pink and black accents were striking...especially loved the bridesmaids hot pink shoes.

Molly and Andrew were surrounded by tons of friends and family that had the dance floor at DCC packed all night. Fifth Avenue had the place jumping! It was fun to watch everyone have such a great time. Thank you for sharing such a fun day with us. Congrats!

Feel free to leave messages for Molly & Andrew in the 'comments' below. You can also become a Fan of the studio on Facebook. If you see yourself in any photos, be sure to tag yourself!

Love + The Newport Aquarium

Tara and Brian met at the Newport Aquarium, while both of them were working there. Needless to say, it was a perfect place to do their engagement session! I have to say it was a first for us too! Working with jellyfish and sharks don't fall into our everyday job description.
Tara and Brian have a beach themed wedding complete with Hawaiian honeymoon so the aquarium fit right into their theme as well. We had lots of fun and also got in some photographs along the Ohio River with Cincinnati's beautiful skyline as a backdrop. We had a super fun time and thanks for the unique photographic opportunity!

Margot & Patrick in Chicago!

Luck was on our side for Margot and Patrick's engagement session in Chicago. With both of them living in different states with busy careers, alone time is hard for them to find...much less get engagement photos done.
Timing was just right that they were able to schedule a trip into Chicago, while I was there attending a workshop. I'm glad we were able to cross paths because we had such a fun time! We hit a lot of Chicago's famous landmarks all while getting to enjoy the spring weather.

Thanks for the great time! Can't wait for the wedding!

Molly & Greg at Yankee Trace Golf Club

So the wait was finally over! Molly & Greg had a long 18 month delay before the wedding while Greg was doing a tour of duty in Iraq. Lots of email and Skype conversations helped to pass the time, but nothing was sweeter than Greg's safe return home!

Molly & Greg had a beautiful wedding with fun bright colors...which fits Molly's personality to a tee. We helped Molly with a lot of her printing needs by designing and printing her seating chart, table numbers and table favors all with a matching theme that coordinated with her invitations. They also had a sign-in-album for guests to sign made from the engagement photos we took of them just days before Greg left for duty. Lots of great details make for a beautiful and memorable wedding for sure!

Feel free to leave Molly and Greg congratulations by clicking on the 'Comments Rock' bottom below. We also have some of their images on Facebook too! Become a Fan of the studio and Tag yourself in the photos.

We wish Molly & Greg all the best and thank them for sharing their day with us! Congrats!

Simple Joys!

So it really is the simple pleasures in life that make you happy. What am I talking about? Might sound silly, but I love my address stamper from Expressionery.

There are many designs to chose from and the stamp is very easy to use. The ink that comes with it is said to last several thousand stamps before replacing. I've had mine for almost two years and its still going strong.

For the bride that has to address a million cards and invitations this year, it is a perfect way to increase efficiency. You don't have to just use them for your return address. Use your monogram and/or wedding date and use the stamps on table favors, programs, etc..
Expressionery has lots of other great stationary, embossers, etc. that can be used for the wedding. Even better still, you can save 40% off your entire order with the code "MOM2010" at checkout. Orders need to be placed before May 31, 2010 to get the savings.

Bonzie...what!?

So when someone asked me if I had heard about Bonzie's, I'll admit that my curiosity was peaked. I'll have to admit that its love at first sight too!

Bonzie is quickly becoming a big name in the fashion industry with a lot of recent press. Bonzie (an aunt and niece duo from Ireland) designs shrugs, wraps, collars and more with a romantic feel.

I adore the look of the wraps and boleros with a strapless gown. What a fun way to incorporate your wedding color into your dress. I think they would be great for a Mother of the Bride or Mother of the Groom's dress too. The price point is between $100-200, which isn't bad for an accessory you could use again.

You can check out their web site above or their shop on Etsy.

Robyn and Mike's Wedding at The Redmoor

Saturday's weather forecast had us worried with rain and high wind gusts, but somehow we lucked out and only had the wind to contend with. We loved Robyn's color palette of orange and blue (which is coincidentally the same palette Mark's son and fiance want to use with their wedding). The bridesmaids' dresses were beautiful and the flowers just popped against the blue backdrop of the dresses.

The ceremony and reception were held at the historic art deco theater, The Redmoor. It was a fun and beautiful site to host their event. Guests loved the unique venue and had fun with the candy bar that Robyn and Mike had in lieu of table favors. Robyn had a fun wedding monogram and the placecards designed by someone she found on Etsy, which is one of our new favorite places for wedding shopping.

It was a lovely spring wedding and we thank Robyn and Mike and their wonderful friends and family for sharing it with us.

Rain or Shine!

So every bride has that panicked thought of, "What if it rains on the wedding day?" Well, fear no more. You could turn that rain into a new wedding trend...umbrellas. Umbrellas can be used for decoration, props in photos or shield your guests from the rain or sun. Check out umbrellas.net or bellaumbrellas.com for chic umbrellas. Bella Umbrella has umbrellas for rent so that you don't have to purchase a ton of umbrellas...great for decor or wedding guests!

On Etsy, you can have umbrellas designed with your monogram, Just Married or Thank You, which make for great 'Thank You' cards after the wedding. Just goes to show that you can turn those rainy day lemons into fun wedding day lemonade!
